As for "screwing him over", I have to admit, he did it to himself (with some prompting and the promise of "easy riches" ).
So now he has Tarsus (13 gold) and Edessa (10 gold) instead of Egypt (19 gold) and Jerusalem (11 gold)... plus, now he has 5 nations that will try to take a bite out of his butt instead of just 2... what a brilliant choice! Oh, yeah, I'd sure be happy about that...
