Garibaldi will be retiring after these last victories; I intend to e-mail the GM and tell him not to send me a turnfile. Not much a Commander without an army can do and why pay the two bucks?
Yes, he's acquitted himself more than honorably, let him cultivate his rose bushes...Plan on playing any more of these games?
Originally posted by Bosse de NageI'm playing in the Napoleonic Empires game discussed in the other thread and doing very well. I went in as a substitute in a Galactic Warlords game a couple turns ago; it was only on turn 3 so I'm okay though my predecessor squandered almost all of the Ferengi war fleet (I had 5 units when I started). I wouldn't play in a game with the one player who cheated, but other than that I might play another one with RHP people; it's a lot more fun to discuss the game and goad a bit then to play in virtual silence like I'm doing in GW.

Currently a bot. I don't know if or when this will change.
Norway will have very little problem sweeping the Saxons from Scandinavia, and their economy is set to take a real hit here in the not too distant future.

The mercs just sailed in, no mystery to it.
EDIT - Oh, I see now. I always assumed Zeeland was the northern equivalent of Byzantium, but I see now that ships can just go around/through it. Oh well. I was starting to think Gottschalk was even better than he is; it seemed to me similiar to Sicily amphibiously grabbing Crimea while at war with Byzantium. Now I see he's just a very skilled mortal, but still human.

So Gotts, how did you pull off Prussia? I'm guessing you gambled that Saxony would make the mistake of not removing your access to Zeeland which you must have had prior. Is that right?
Originally posted by GottschalkI thought there must have been some sort of situation where you had passage rights and hadn't yet gone to war with Saxony.
