Think I prefer my own memory where FMF begged me to share the micro-fictions from the club as he was a man-child and wouldn't join the club to read them himself (due to not liking 2 of the other members).

Absolutely, as my memory is accurate and not fuelled by bitterness. FMF was desperate to find additional writers for his show and asked me to approach at least three forum contributors on his behalf.
