However, your short post provides a copybook example of how you ask a question based on a false premise of your own creation but implying that it was in another's mind. You then proceed to ask a supplementary question based on that false premise.
Often, unless nipped in the bud, that premise, false though it is, then gets repeated in post after post and if you're lucky taken up by subsequent posters so that in the mind of the casual and unwary reader it becomes established fact.
