Love the new features. Please don't do drag and drop!

One minor point, the pieces ("book" style) seem a bit fuzzy.....

Kev

Edit: anyone else finding analyse board extremely slow? Also it refreshes all pieces when you move one - is this intended?

Do you REALLY want drag and drop? With the new board, this could be implemented as an option at a later date.

I don't like drag n drop, except in blitz. simple clicking allows you more flexibility, that is, you don't have to keep the button pressed if you start thinking in the middle of the move. with drag n drop you'd have to worry about where the piece is landing, and possible backtracking after it.

edit: how about putting that 'time remaining to move' in the game-list page too, so you'd see which games require attention without clicking back and forth with each individual game.

also rating as a part of handle (like within the board-page) would decrease greatly clicking around. I check it almost every time when reading chess-related advice, to get some context.

board flip-feature is excellent addition.

Great stuff 🙂

I second though that the pieces look fuzzy. I use the newspaper set.

Yup, especially on the large size a lot of the pieces seem to be fuzzy. But not Book, imo.

Also, the game page seems a lot brighter on TFC than before?

I think it'd be better if there was a save notebook changes link rather than having to click on the Move button, but that's just for intuitive reasons.

I don't like the way that the forward buttons on the game navigator no longer reset the board to the final position. This might be just because I haven't gotten used to the actions interface yet.

I do want to close this thread though, because the opening posts are now potentially confusing.

I will create a new thread so the comments can continue.
