My first impression is that asexuality would seem to be a result of another problem rather than a stand-alone situation.
It's only briefly touched upon in the main article you link to, but some part of me has problems accepting it as something which isn't problematic.
If I compare the urge to have sex to that of eating or sleeping (both of which are also completely natural), nobody would say that anorexia or insomnia is either healthy, normal or unrelated to other problems.
However, it is my first impression. I'm very interested in this subject, so I'll problaby get back to you on it for more details.
