The news was announced by her family, who on Thursday (9 July) said she “unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for”. Very sad.

Very sad. She was very popular in Wales. She came from Swansea, where Catherine Zeta Jones, wife of Michael Douglas is from. They were best friends.
