The show was ditzy, we all knew that at the time, but it did have some high-powered acting talent on board: Alan Hale and Jim Backus were big names on the silver screen.
Particularly I feel the loss of some real heavy-weights:
Sir Sean Connery (actor)
Sir Ian Holm (actor)
Dame Diana Rigg (actress)
Terry Jones (film director, Python)
Olivia de Havilland (actress)
Max von Sydow (actor)
Kirk Douglas (actor)
Little Richard (seminal rock and roller)
Peter Green (guitarist)
Kenny Rogers (singer song writer)
John Prine (singer song writer)
@neilarinisaid Gerry Marsden. The Gerry and the pacemakers. ynwa.
Thank you, I found that guy, so I have to admit I never had heard of him before...
Edit: found the song "you'll never walk alone" which I knew to be the Liverpool hymn, but didn't know until now.

Born in Toxteth. A local lad who found success around the time of the Beetles. He was also famous for the song 'Ferry Across The Mersey'. One of the city's favourite sons.
