Dogs are O.K. but the vet is on the payroll. That vet wants lots of money. One trip took my weeks pay. The stray and/or area dogs are a problem. The stray and/or ares cats cause me no problems.
Originally posted by LennyBruceWe got a rescue dog last April (a 4.5 year old cross but predominantly labrador) he has enriched our lives so much we are not going on any foreign holidays for the forseeable future bacause we want to enjoy our holidays with him. Although going back to the thread I have to say that I have put a few pounds on since we got him, because I gave up running/cycling to make the time to walk him (although that is being corrected now as he joins me for runs as from a couple of weeks ago)
You're not complete until you own a dog, they enrich your life in ways a petless person can not imagine.

It's as I suspected -- dogs are not only man's best friend, they also improve your health better than any stinky cat can:

Originally posted by Frank BurnsThat is a great idea, it would be nice if all vets were to do that. I spent close to$600 last year spay/nuetering the neihborhood cats so they don't reproduce. They bring them home and kick them outside after they get tired of them.😕
