OK I got a new one for you. I have a 40 Gig hard drive and it says I have 15 gigs available. The problem is that I use an extewrnal hardrive to store stuff on. I would like to find what is taking up 25 Gigs of HD on my internal drive. How would I goabout doing this?

You could try this free program that tells you more details than Windows does.[assuming you are using XP OR Vista]

TreeSize Free

Also you should clean up the junk on the HD too if you haven't already.
I use this all the time:

Alright good Dr. task completed. Cleared it up. Thanks. Now I have a new one for you to help with.
I have a Zen, Ipod, Ipod shuffle, psp, and would like to use 1 interface to manage them all. Is it possible, and is it possible for free?

Allright Dr. I got a new one today. My computer is not connecting to the internet. There is a lan thing under control panel that is either sending or reciving "packets". I didn't know what this was so I stopped it! So my questions are do you know what a "packet"is and why I don't have internet?

A packet is[put simply] a unit of communication on the Internet.
A LAN is a local area network. [presumably you are using a router?]

How did you 'stop' the LAN?
I would try restarting what you stopped - or reset it all up 🙁

DOS has a command "Move" that is much better used than the windows copy. "Move" just moves the pointers from one folder to another rather than the file content itself.

I got a new beef with a comp. Wife got a laptop and is sick of the touch pad activating when she puts her finger down, and going to an unwanted web site.

Been there, done that, disabled it. I'll go look up how I did it and come back, unless someone else gets here first.
