I usually play until the bitter end, but I do not stop moving. Especially against weaker players like me because we make so many blunders.

I tend to move a lot slower when I am losing. This is because it takes me a lot longer to think out a winning game plan when I am in a bad situation. Nothing to do with sour grapes. Just the natural order of things.

How do you pick your nose and flick green gobey boogers at the screen then?

I hate people who think they have a right to a quick win if they gain an advantage. If your opponent wants to keep playing, then you keep playing too, because that's how the game works. Unless their king is all on his lonesome, I don't believe a player is being discourteous if they want to finish the game.

Wow, you got really lucky there. You should have lost that, and personally I feel that the point of playing on is for the practice, not for the end result of the game.

Some situations are just impossible to win and yet some still insist on playing for a while to see what happens.
King and bishop vs. king will always draw but the apparent material advantage is enough to attempt a win.

my standard of play varies. if im off form, it makes sense not to move, so i come back and try later. dont most people do that ?
