Because I'm always getting corected in this forum for my spelling. I use a dictionary sometimes bit it's a lot of effort when ya are just having fun.

apostrophes replace missing vowels and spaces!
Hence, "aren't" actually means "are not" and "y'are" means "you are".
That is correct usage of English, albeit old.
