yes, this whole story probably stems from this quote which is the only mention of this incident in this interview:
He said he was stopped and his name was on the terrorist list. What more proof do you require?
Just because CNN News didn't run a story on it doesn't mean it didn't happen. And yes, I understand that you do not want to believe the horrible things coming our about the Bush administration: Torture, secret concentration camps in other countries, 911, money laundering, illegal immigration, phone taps, and much more. I would prefer not to have to address those things too, but address them I must.
Originally posted by uzlessloving your country doesn't mean you blindly believe everything positive. But, I think it also means that you don't believe every lie told by internet bloggers. I think this particular story was taken out of context by a remark/assumption made by Mr. Murphy. NO proof as been shown by anyone that supports what is mentioned by the bloggers. It's a remark, made into a story, to be used to bash Bush. If America was doing that to people simply based on their speech I would be outraged. But unlike some people on here I'm not going to believe something just because it's on the internet. Bush haters blog lies everyday on the internet. If there was any proof of this story it seems to me it would of made front page headlines with the NY Times, LA Times, and would be all over cnn and msnbc, don't you?
uh no...most people hate what their country has become.
You appear to love what your country has become.
Sasquatch, on the other hand, begins his thought process with a hatred of Bush and then proceeds to find what ever he can on the internet to present as fact about the administration. He thus, also implies the same about America. According to him all of this will go away when Bush leaves office because it's all his fault. Everything bad that happens is Bush's fault. Well we will see in 2008.
The post that was quoted here has been removedway to avoid the issue. your "clearance"??
His "assertion" was, and I quote, "That’s the only reason I can give", he has no proof, and we only have the word of a person who is anti-Bush to believe it ever happened.
Why wasnt this reported all over the news??? Please just tell me that.
The post that was quoted here has been removedwhat are you talking about, who would be guilty of libel?? Bloggers? No way. You can't libel the president, really. That's not even the point, i'm not arguing law with you.
Please don't go back to lies about wmds.....you cannot lie without intent. he was wrong, so was all of the intellegence as i have pointed out to you many times before. You cannot prove he knew that intellegence would eventually turn out to be false.
The post that was quoted here has been removedmaybe they did, i dont know. but there is still no proof he knew the intellegence was false--when Tenet advised him wmds were going to be a "slam dunk" accoring to liberal Woodward's book.
you've stopped debating mr murphy's story because, i guess, you know it's a lie. Thanks for agreeing with me.
I am confused about one thing. If America is a hellhole, and Bush (Clinton before him) (Bush Sr. before him), etc.... are all corrupted self serving individuals controlled by the constituants, PAC's and corporate funders who put them in office; and if the USA is the supposed laughing stock, whipping post and bad boy in the neighborhood; and if we are such a vile country or immoral character, pray tell me why over 1 million immigrants per month are cascading to enter this country while many millions more are forced to wait for an opportunity? Why do the Mexicans crash the borders to get into this wretched sewer of a country? Why do Indian citizens come to the US under the treaty to get a college education under the premise that they will return to their homeland with their degree, only to change their mind and remain in the USA because the quality of life is way beyond the means in their homeland? Why? Because this has been the greatest country on earth for many years. No, it is not without flaws, but what is besides God? In many nations of this world, the open complaints made in this forum would have landed you in jail or had you executed for blaspheming the government or dictator. Like it or not, this is a great country, with many liberties that most people just take for granted. There is a tremendous jealousy in the world of what we have. Many want to see us fail and take up the causes of religion, terrorism, propaganda in an attempt to accomplish their goals. The fact that sickens me the most is that many of the countries who would condemn us now, have been the recipients of our charity in their respective times of crisis for many years. When natural disasters occur in the US, tell me how many countries came running to our aid? But when tidal waves, earthquakes, nuclear explosions, etc..occur abroad, there go our US tax dollars to lend aid. There is a growing hatred of the US (and to a lesser extent England) among those countries who were quick to take our hand outs and now their memories lapse. These are not made up. They have been covered in the media. Take a look at it. And if you cannot honestly say that this country is a great place to live in, then do me a favor and get out! Move to the Nirvana of your choice and I wish you the best of luck.
