I am confused about one thing. If America is a hellhole, and Bush (Clinton before him) (Bush Sr. before him), etc.... are all corrupted self serving individuals controlled by the constituants, PAC's and corporate funders who put them in office; and if the USA is the supposed laughing stock, whipping post and bad boy in the neighborhood; and if we are su ...[text shortened]... do me a favor and get out! Move to the Nirvana of your choice and I wish you the best of luck.
Keep in mind that your elders are trying to stop that Bush plan... to have all the 'heros' crippled so that they can no longer fight against the government...
As I write this, do you know how many good American men have lost arms and legs? No, you don't. Do you know why? Because the Bush administration flys them to another country and does not allow the press to cover their stories. There's over 20,000 'good American kids maimed right now and Bush plans to have our troops in Iraq forever.
Edit: The 'War on Terror' was created by those in power to control and exploit the common citizen.
The post that was quoted here has been removedNO, it is certainly not too much to ask for, but it is way too much to expect. Anyone who can stand up with a straight face and name me the last President this country had who never gave any political favors, never succombed to political pressures, never made a decision that was not necessarily in the best interests of the majority, I would like to hear them speak. The reason is, because it hasn't yet happened. There have been some that were close, Lincoln probably the greatest. And by that I mean the whole package....working for the good of the people and being morally righteous in the face of popularity. The ideal president would be someone who needed no additional wealth, who had no political agenda, and would not compromise his/her principals or prostitue themselves to the politcal machine. The Democrats and the Republicans are all of the same make up. People believe that one party is better than the other. Please, they are both foxes in sheeps clothing. Those of you who hate Bush now....can you honestly tell me Bill Clinton was a good President? I will point -counterpoint you to death. Ronald Reagan did some great things, but he also bobbled several things. The problem is, this country's founding fathers weren't fools. They safeguarded against one leader with the system of checks and balances. The flaw with that is that both sides search for their power, their domain of control. They are forced to compromise, many times at the extent of their constituants to add to their empires. Why on earth would anyone in their right mind spend millions of their own dollars and many millions more of their collected dollars to get a job that pays $200K per year? For the prestige...hardly. For the power....partially. For the bounty they will receive at the end of the rainbow....you bethca!! Bill Clinton is a loathesome individual who has charisma and the ability to lie with a straight face...a natural. You know, we did have one President who I really think tried to do the right thing and tried to make a difference. He was one of the most ineffective President's in history because the system handcuffed him. I honestly did not think much of him while he was in office. But once he was out of office, his true colors shone through. He reached out to help others in need where he could. He did it without alot of fanfare. And he is still doing it today. I am speaking of Jimmy Carter. I say this and I am a conservative. His Habitat for Humanity is a great program. I would love to see many more like them started by those who have the means...but few step up. I can honestly say I am proud of Jimmy Carter as a man, as a human being, and as an influence in the lives of millions. How much could Bill Gates do? Warren Buffett? This country has made many many people wealthy beyond comprehension because they were given the opportunity to do so. Let us not forget these things in times of turmoil. I am not sure if I answered your question, but hopefully you caught my drift and understand what I am saying.
I take issue with the argument that Bush is okay because other Presidents were also bad. It's like arguing that murder is okay because people have murdered before. Also, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a president who has done as much to undermine the pillars of traditional American democracy.
What other American president has started a network of secret prisons around the globe? ...and so on ad nauseum.
I do agree that we should have more Presidents like Jimmy Carter. He actually seems to Believe in Democracy... how many politicians really do these days?

Would you afford me the same? The situation in Iraq is out of hand. The problem is it is much like a chess game. A deep hole has been dug, but offering to resign isn't a viable option. I hear everyone screaming about getting out of Iraq altogether, but they don't have a viable solution to resolve the problem. If we pull out now, you will have a massive civil war that will ensue over control of the country. The sad truth is that sometimes you have to do the unpopular. Too many people scream that we are over there simply for the oil. Perhaps you believe that too, I don't know. Are you willing to stop all of your consumption of oil along with all of the other detractors who claim it is just for the oil? If you would, then there would not be a shortage out there. You may be one of those who does not believe there is a shortage. If so, do your reserch because it is real. Not immenent, but within the next 10 years. Why do you think there is the urgency to create alternative fuel sources? But so far, every alternative pisses someone off. The Nuke is bad because of the toxic waste it produces. Coal pollutes the atmosphere. Wind turbines require too much land and we need to build more homes and buildings for all of the immigrants and the expanding population. Living on the moon is not viable. The products we develope and use in our creature comforts deplete the ozone, and pollute the water supply. Everyone chirps now about the Greenhouse effect and the planet temperature rising. Both of them are overblown to the point of hysteria, much like asbestosis. Brake linings are still manufactured out of asbestos. Standing on a street corner your inhale friable asbestos everyday. The problem is, people want cars and transportation vehicles. No material holds up to the heat like asbestos, so it is still used, yet it might kill us? How about the pollution from the cars. The air we breathe is contaminated. So is the water from chemicals and pesticides that we all need. So I say, we are in Iraq for a multitude of reasons. Are we appreciated there? By some yes, but by many ..no. Bush was boxed into this one. He is taking the fall. But let me ask you....on 9/11, honestly now, what did you want to do? Did you want someone dead over it? I did!!! Iraq just happened to be the choice of the day because the man the US placed in power told us to stick it up our butt. We put him into power and we took him out. 9/11 would have never happened if Clinton had acted on Bin Laden when he was presented to him on a platter. Now Bush takes the fall because he can't find him.

I think you are unaware of a lot of things. There was no reason to invade Iraq. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 911. Even our own government sources verify that.
You should read some of the material out there like this one:
"They promised us a 'Hundred-year War'. Here’s how they launched it:"

Did I state that Iraq was the cause of 9/11....NO !!!!
Hopefully that was simple enough for you.

....Torture, secret concentration camps in other countries, 911, money laundering, illegal immigration, phone taps, and much more. I would prefer not to have to address those things too, but address them I must.
And now we have to hear about every time some liberal college prof.'s cat gets stuck up a tree, how that's the fault of some vast right wing conspiracy led by Dubya. Enough is enough already! It's one thing to disagree with the president's policies--I do that a lot myself. But it's quite another to stretch these policy disagreements into the belief that he's somehow the source of all evil in the world. At some point all of these wacky conspiracy theories just make you look like a nut, and I think you crossed that point quite a while ago.

Hopefully this is simple enough for you to understand. It would appear that your problem is your own inability to understand what you read, guy. ๐

However, I stand behind what I said 100%, and I have considerable more knowledge on the topic than you give me credit for, and quite a bit that I am not at liberty to discuss, and we will leave it at that.

I even think he supported the Plan for An American Century or whatever that heinous document is called. I suppose that was end 2005 / early 2006. I recall some heated conversations about terrorists...The fact that he's come to hate Bush with such a passion really speaks volumes.
Sasquatch, on the other hand, begins his thought process with a hatred of Bush and then proceeds to find what ever he can on the internet to present as fact about the administration.
I should add that I posted this to show that your take on sasquatch is based on ignorance, prejudice and hysteria.
