I need a good recipe that includes as many of the following ingredients as possible:

Celery
Half a head of Red Cabbage
1 Lime
1 Tomato
Yellow Onions
Shallots
Garlic
1 Red Pepper
1 Yellow Pepper

This is what's in my fridge. I also have a wide selection of fresh herbs and dried spices.

I'm thinking I could buy 1 white onion and make a small amount of pico de gayo (sp?). I could also buy some snausages and cook 'em with the onions and peppers.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Celery? Who the hell eats that disgusting thing?

Are snausages naughty sausages?

There used to be a decent website where you could type in the ingredients you had and it would throw a couple of recipes at you.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what it was called and I can't be bothered to look for it for you.

I think it was something like "What's in your fridge" or "Stuff in my fridge" or something like that.

Soup springs to mind. Save the lime for something else, though.

Good idea for a website, but I did some google searches and turned up squat. Thanks for nothing.

Anyone else?

You could make a nice coleslaw with the celery, cabbage, red/yellow peppers and a few onions or shallots, and add some tomato and some lime juice with a little salt & sugar to give it a southwestern flair. Frozen corn or peas just heated through would go in nicely too. If you have cilantro, you're gold.

If you're going to pick up some groceries anyway, get some chicken, cheese, chili peppers and tortillas and make some chicken quesedillas to go with 'em. Dinner in no time flat!

Pick up some snausages and/or ground beef (maybe some rice too) and make stuffed peppers.
