Hey starr, if I may make a suggestion:
This thread has some votes but a lot of side chatter.
Why not have a thread with nothing but the votes and we can
chatter about the stuff here in this thread? otherwise you have to
weed through a lot of stuff just to find the votes.
Originally posted by sonhouseSpeaking of voting, are you gonna do so anytime soon, Mr. Blabbermouth?

There are different customs in different competitions. In the photo comp, people can usually vote for eight favourites on a sliding scale of points. But we don't have different categories in one round, which makes it quite different from the music comp.
the techniques you used evoked (at least for people who have
witnessed them personally) the images of the Borealis better than
any other instrument I can think of. It would have to be a bowed
instrument, I think, to get across the idea of the shimmering
ever changing patterns in the sky. I can see people trying such
a think with flute, you know how the virtuosi like James Galway
can make some shimmery sounds but with a guitar, maybe some
sliding of fingernails on the strings or something like that, but thats
about all you can do there. Interesting sound you made.
