so what did you do? I had the same problem with Audacity but
I went to Nero Media creator and it treated it as if it were a wav
file and converted to mp3 no fuss no muss.
Also, does anyone know what the CDA format is?

I believe CDA, besides being the Christian capitalist party in Holland, is a Crap-n-toss (apple) extension, similar in size to WAV.

I googled CDA conversion and downloaded a test programme.

CDDA = Compact disc digital audio

Its the format used by all music cd's today.
