I like that idea. I should offer some sort of reward or title for the winner (there were two verse competitions about a year ago, but they were marred by plagiarism).
Originally posted by DelmerThat's true. If something like a title were at stake, people might do that (although Whale Father only knows why), so I'll try to strike some balance between fairness and giving people some incentive to enter.

Originally posted by royalchickenOk heres my votes.
You read them, and then pick your favourite three. Of those three, you rate each on a scale of 1 (worst of the favourite 3) to 10 (best).
Thank Whale for another voter, and thank you for voting!
Yesterday 8
The poetry of Alcohol 5 (good idea wasted by the incohearent spelling)
Evolution 4 (i dont get the element symbolism - copper ?{its not right})
I would just have picked Yesterday but thats not what i was asked to do, i would say that yesterday was a gem in a pile of mediocre. . . and i'm guessing Starman wrote it. I hope theres no offence taken with the criticism 🙂

Originally posted by DelmerAh, cool. That's how these have been run (I took the idea from the PROSE COMPETITIONS), so I'll start an all-out competition for RHP Poet Laureate when this one is finished.

The laughably bad author-identity guessing in this thread indicates that cliques are unlikely to develop.
Thanks for the votes, huckleberryhound.
