It isn't tomorrow yet; it will be in less than five minutes, whereupon it won't be.

Right, voting is closed as of this post; I'm sick of this farce of a VERSE COMPETITION (not farcical because of the poems entered or the votes given, but because of the wanton silliness and general General apathy).

Votes have been counted. Many thanks to all who submitted their work, and to all who waded through this mess of a thread to vote. The winners are:

1st place, with 32 votes: Untitled by rwingett

2nd place, with 29 votes: Evolution by Starrman

3rd place, with 18 votes: Thuh Poery of Alclohol by Starrman

Mad props, Rob and Liam; you'd best be entering the forthcoming VERSE COMPETITION: RHP POET LAUREATE EDITION. In fact, everyone had best be entering the VC:RHPPLE. In particular, the bard who gave us such delightful works as 'Humanity' and 'Large Poo Crumbs' would, in not entering, be committing a sin akin to standing someone up at the Natural History Museum.

The winners will be announced with great hype and fanfare once I've written the hype and fanfare.
Hurry up. That should be worth reading.

Just count the votes yourself, plonker. My hype didn't go as planned. Look up.

no offence mate, but maybe if you didnt start the comp by demanding everyone read ten posts written by yourself poluted with the word Bruck, it might've gotten a better response.
I didnt look at the thread when it was young, but i would've told you where to get off.

Participation shouldnt be expected

edit. so starman voted for his own poems. oooohh๐Ÿ˜ž

I really am not the author of 'A Celestial Bruckllad'. I posted it by way of inspiration; the level of participation had gone fairly far south compared to last year's verse competitions by the time I posted that, and I wasn't taking this very seriously by then.

I had expected a level of participation similar to former verse competitions, and have some modifications in mind for the next one.

i will be participating next time round๐Ÿ™‚

another suggestion would be a seperate post with the poems, so anyone wanting to read them doesnt have to go through 9 pages before reaching the poetry.

who wrote yesterday, by the way?
