I think the answer is no, but I am not sure.
EDIT - Is there any kind of map showing the start positions?
It seems to be generally accurate; I was able to figure out where my nephew's realm was by using it.

Issue one every turn definitely.
Avoid the gibberish and profanity and you'll be right.
eg
I see the peasants from Clan Tokugawa are amassing on my eastern border. Be warned: step out of line and heads will roll should be taken quite literally ...
Crud like that'll work.
I tried to talk them out of it, but you are now officially an enemy of the Tokugawa...
I'm working on a blank map... taking a while though.. cut and paste.. cut and paste.. then I have to clear out the green so that we can actually colour things in... then I get it all nice, and one of my 2 yr old daughters walk up and hit keys on the keyboard and I have to backtrack.. so.. don't expect it end of day or anything 😉

If you have ships that can't get to sea just salvage them; you'll get 1/3 their Gold value and they're worthless to you now.
I have another fortification right next to the sea, my guess is that it is a mistake. As this is a new game that has only just been play tested last week, that sounds about right.
Do you think i should contact the GM on this ?
