Ryuzoji lost 3 elite samurai and 4 archers
Ito lost 1 ronin 2 jizamurai and 1 arquebusier
Amako lost 5 ronin.

So much friendly conversation...
A few corrections about the turn just played, and about our game in general...
1/ The attack from Kotto by Ryuzoji and Ito was no "feint"... as he attempts to spin it. The Amako comprehensively defeated them. Brave lord Ryuzoji saw one solitary Amako ronin standing all by himself and therefore felt that it was probably ver lord Ryuzoji hasn't achieved much to justify doing nothing to assist Lord Otomo, has he?

Pal: My purpose was to learn the most possible and possibly be on the winning side. Obviously I wouldn't last long if I didn't ally myself with one of my stronger neighbours since I knew nothing of the game.
Pal: That said, my intentions for this game were never to win,
I did.
If you don't agree with it, then too bad. It's not like I care.

I was allied with you by the 3rd turnfile, how much "earlier" should I have spoke to you?
Kyushu declared war on you because you are a vassal of our enemy, who you declared to me was going to be shogun when I asked for assistance on Shikoku in return for territorial concessions in previously held Mori territory (along with an offer to help ...[text shortened]... operation is a feint, akin to the landings in Hungarian territory King Phil and I made in MD.
You have a narrow definition of winning...
Some just enjoy acting out a particular role.
I was speaking out of character earlier and simply saying it was not impossible to imagine you might have been my "real" ally and even suzerain in different circumstances.
The return snipe from you was not terribly gracious...
The Hungarian landings were in a game I had nothing to do with, sorry. As I said this is my first game.
A little sportsmanship, please...

It's common practice in Age Games, especially at "veteran" level. It's wrong to say that Uesugi and Ikko Ikki had a pre-game alliance, though, since we didn't know what realms we'd get. As yet, our direct cooperation has been minimal.
I noticed that. I actually find it unsportsmanlike and yes, I'm surprised Bosse would do it. Bad Bosse! Bad!.

I am unrepentant.
Everybody knows I'm bad as Michael Jackson.

My "snipe" was a factual response to a disingenous comment you made. If you want to receive "gracious" comments, it's a good idea not to make misleading statements about other people. That might be considered "sporting".
I was aware that you weren't in the game where the Hungarian landings were made, but most of the other regular posters in this thread were. I gave it as an example of a "feint" that I had previously used in these types of games (the game systems are virtually identical). I have used the same strategy in my Age of Conquest game as well.

Winning is merely achieving your own aims. Nothing less and nothing more.
You appear to have a more tyrannical and legalistic mind, though, which will permit no other truth than that which supports your case.
Are you a lawyer, by any chance?
My comment wasn't disingenuous. I can't possibly gain anything from making it.
I was just saying the game could have gone completely differently...
