What is this Fifth disease? The link says that Slapped Cheeks is a characteristic of this Fifth disease.

I think it is a virus. It caused a rash, and then I itched everywhere, badly. After the rash it seemed to attack every joint in my body. I ached everywhere. I worked through the whole ordeal. It was more annoying than debilitating.

Edit: It was similar in alot of ways to z00t. 😏

How do you end up getting something like this? Is it specific to a region? Around here, you need to watch for the tics and mosquitoes. You could end up with Lyme or Triple E.

I was told it was rare. My wife and kids all had it too. I guess we were just lucky. 😕

I got it off one of my kids about 5 yrs ago.It was a real pain.I could see the rash moving down my arms and legs.All the joints swelled up and started to sieze.Hands lost all strength and my feet got so sore I could hardly walk.On the up side"the old fella"swelled up but didn't look too good all coverd in a itchy rash.Hope this helps.ps.took about 3yrs for joints to fully recover.

Holy Crap. I've had these symptoms occur every couple of years after returning from Nam. No doctor could tell me what was going on. Haven't had an outbreak in 10 years. Hope it has run it's course.
