Well, today (or yesterday for those sad pedantic sods who think it's already Friday) was a bit of a bum day. I got caught in the rain, and 3 students didn't turn up for their lessons, and I had a blinding headache when I came home at 10:30, and the flat was empty, which I thought was a bit strange. I mean, usually there's the wife and her son at home. And dinner on the table, and a hot bath waiting. But not today.
So I called the wife's mobile phone, and her son answered. I could hear the siren in the background as he said, "We're in an ambulance, going to the hospital. Saiseikai Senri hospital. See you there."
So I took a taxi and found them at the hospital.
The missus was diagnosed with a tumour in her aesophagus (don't know if I spelt that right, and to tell the truth, I don't really care).
Well, I left the hospital at 1am, and I've been drinking all night, and it's now 6:05am, and at 8 o'clock I've got to go and tell her boss that she's in hospital and won't be working today.
Then I've got to go to work, and after teaching for 8 hours, I've got to trudge all the way up to Kita Senri and spend a couple of hours with the sad lass herself.
So, maybe I won't get to play all the games I've got going. And maybe I'll get timed out on some of my games because I was in the hospital instead of in front of the computer.
But you know what? I don't give a sh;t. Really, it's not all that important. Even though I'm a clan leader with people depending on me, I don't care about my games, or my clan, or my clan members, or the other clans that I'm a member of.
I don't even care about my students, or the money I'd lose if I cancel my lessons today.
The only thing I care about at this moment in time is Yuko.
So please say a prayer for her. That she'll be OK and come home. Because in my own way, I do care, and she is important to me. Even though I am a bad husband to her...
