True sticks cut though, a fist to the head multiple times over the years can cause big issues in later years of a pro hockey players life as has been proven. I think that part of the game is fading away slowly. Although when a fight brakes out in any hockey game all the fans are on their feet! 😉

This is true, I can't see them cutting out fighting altogether as it would ruin the game, and give players the go ahead to go after star players without any concern of an enforcer coming after them. Of course not to mention the fact that the fans love a good fight.

Fighting is a part of the game....Where would Wayne Gretzky be without his enforcers. He certainly wouldn't have obtained the points and goals without them. You went after Gretz back in the old days good chance you'd be leaving the ice with blood on your face, or carried off on a stretcher.
