Relationships can be sticky and tricky.
Yes, and one could stick, "prickly" in there too.

I think I'll stick this one in while the subject of love and marriage are going on.

love and marriage, love and marriage go together like a horse and carriage this i tell you, brother you can't have one without the other

Frank Sinatra - Love and Marriage - YouTube

Lyrics
Love and marriage, love and marriage
They go together like a horse and carriage
This I tell you, brother
You can't have one without the other
Love and marriage, love and marriage
It's an institute you can't disparage
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary
Try, try, try to separate them
It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
To this conclusion
Love and marriage, love and marriage
Go together like a horse and carriage
Dad was told by mother
You can't have one, you can´t have none
You can't have one without the other
Try, try, try to separate them
It's an illusion
Try, try, try, and you will only come
To this conclusion
Love and marriage, love and marriage
They go together like the horse and carriage
Dad was told by mother
You can't have one, you can´t have none
You can't have one without the other
No sir

@Very-Rusty
A marriage counselor once said that there are many divorces nowadays but not as many as there should be.

Great song, by the way - I stick to that.

Divorces are sticky. Oh yeah, believe me.

A friend of mine and her husband renew their marriage vows every 10 years to keep their love and trust alive and remind themselves why they still want to be together. No stickiness, just love and loyalty.

Yes, you can stick quite a bit of money in the bank with the right lawyer over the long term. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too. 😉

Just watch out that their lawyer hasn't stuck in some caveat, in the "small print".

That is why one gets a top divorce lawyer. I have a friend who actually had his ex wife paying support!!! How often have you heard about that happening?

And when are divorced couples expected to pay support? For the children?

Correct, she had to pay support for the child as he got custody which is rare, this is a case where the female abandoned both of them, and thought she couldn't be found with her new love. Sticky divorce it was!!!

At least there were children involved. What about divorces without children - is one partner still expected to stick with financial support?

That is a sticky question, which I don't know the answer to.
