Stranger Than Fiction starring Will Ferrell. It had chick flick written all over it, but the Mrs. wanted to see it. Definintely much more clever than I thought it was going to be.

If you're into laughing what about "Wedding Crashers"?

The Descent. I was expecting just another slasher film and it turned out to be one of the best horror films I've seen in the last two years.

Was I the only one expecting ESofSM to be a great film?

Pulp Fiction.

I was 18 (no, 17, geez...) when it came out, and I figured it would be crap with Travolta in it, but the film blew me away.

Shaun of the Dead. I had never even heard of it until I watched it.

Also recently, The Lives of Others was also amazing and although I was expecting a good film, I was still surprised by its overall quality.

Norway of Life was also a nice surprise.

Agreed, "Shaun of the dead" was a riot. Another one that suprised me was "Dog Soldiers". I hope it was a comedy horror film, as i laughed my head off. Reccomended. Its got the LHGSOA.

Yep, great film.

Did you notice the symbolism of Clementine's hair colour during the film?
green; new beginnings
red; in love
orange; falling out of love
blue; the break-up

Had to see it a couple of times to check, but it works out.

Yes. And that's the way to be sure in what reality we are.

"Little Miss Sunshine" was a surprisingly good film.

I liked Donnie Darko, even though it looked like it was going to suck. ~.~ Frank. Whoo.

Superb alright.

I think Jim Carey is one of the best and most versatile actors out there. He did a few too many Mask/Pet Detective type movies first off, and a lot of people wrote him off, but he's brilliant in most movies that he stars in.

I really enjoyed Unleashed, although it wasn't as good as Fearless.

Hero blew me away. I didn't have a clue what to expect from Dogville but enjoyed it thoroughly. Same with Apocalypto. I was sceptical about Dancer in the Dark, but it's one of my favourite movies.

The only good thing about that movie is the slow-motion "Head Over Heels" montage.
