american beauty.

then market it with pictures of a blonde teenage bombshell rolling in red rose petals. it's hardly a stretch.
And what about Kevin Spacey being in it?

I didn't know that before I saw it. it would've made the difference, he hardly ever does crap. same thing with johnny depp.

Ah! Now I get you. I always knew that he was in it and pretty much every one I know knew that.
Johnny is great. I think he and Ethan Hawk are kinda alike but Ethan is much less quirky...

Here's an old one that I remembered last night:

Eight Men Out- Excellent recounting of the 1919 Black Sox scandal. Given the subject matter (I'm not a big fan of baseball), I was surprised by how much I liked it.

How about every other Kevin Costner movie? Ever notice he does a great film and then a major bomb? The Mailman & Water World are two of the biggest bombs.

I put him in a category with Nicholas Cage. In movies they play themselves. NOT a character.

Got it in my old place but haven't seen it.
And Elisabeth Shue was great. In Leaving Las Vegas that is.

Cool, let me know what you think. 🙂
Haven't seen it yet. Yesterday I watched Single White Female and Jennifer Jason Leigh was so good that she creeped me out of my seet. Twice! That women can really act! But maybe tomorrow I'll see The Trueman Show.

And I really liked Batman Begins too. The dialogues were great! Christian Bale and Cillian Murphy were really good.

This one is for that movie that you really didn't expect that much, but it surprised you in a very positive way.

My take goes to "The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind". I really didn't know what to expect from this one, except that it had Jim Carrey in a serious role. But boy the movie was great. Great story, great story telling, great acting (Kate Winslet was simply great).
"The Prestige" was incredible....... 😲
