Good to see a yorkshireman making hay in the lancastrian sunshine.
That's always good 😉
Anyhow, Vaughan was born in Manchester, although raised in Sheffield.

Boycott in stitches after the no-ball bowling of Vaughan: "Bad luck Aussies, couldn't have happened to nicer people!" said the impartial commentator.
Still, the look on McGrath's face was a picture 🙂

Trescothick has gone for 63. He was very unlucky indeed to catch up with the ball after it had come off his pads, chest and then to hit it right into Gilchrist.

Bell looks to be playing nicely, all you nay-sayers.
He is a very good player, just needs a chance to show it in Tests.

Bell sucks my willow. Only a centuary this innings will change my opinion of him.

snap.

by the way what are the opinions on strauss. one hit wonder or just having a bad patch. to be honest when he was doing his business last summer, England were playing teams not nearly as good as Australia. Is he really that good.

I think Strauss is quality, but like Bell, he needs a big score to stop himself being relegated to my bad books.

EDIT: Well done to Vaughan!

WI and NZ aren't amazing bowling attacks, but Strauss did well in SA, and you can't argue that Pollock isn't great.
I think Strauss his having a bad run, because he struggled against Bangladesh!
Bell, is unproven, but I hardly think the failures at Lords counts (unless we sack everyone except Pietersen). He is a nice replacement for Thorpe in a classical batsman kind of way - less gung ho than KP or Freddie.

Did Bell not make three half centuries in his first three Test innings? He has battled superbly today, I am not a fan of his, but he has worked through a tough patch with real dedication...
