Also, you can change the number at the end of the address bar in your browser when you are already in the thread. (Handy for finding the middle of a long thread)

Woops, I meant "Thread", not "Link", of course. Bad teamwork of brain and fingers. 😳

Down to the wire again. England on 119/7 looking for another ten runs. Warnies bowling out of his skull. This is edge of the seat stuff.

England can't lose the series now. All Australia can hope for is a draw.

But if Australia draw the series England will not get the ashes back! Draw or win for England at the Oval is essential.

Who cares? We won!!
Okay, we care, but it is better than being 1-2 or still 1-1.
Still, if we had got that last wicket at OT it would be 3-1 already.
Looks like McGrath's prediction of 5-0 to the Aussies is a bit out πŸ™‚

It was a fine result for the English, but if Australia play bowl anything like how they bowled that last innings (with McGrath yet to come) I think the Aussies will retain the Ashes

Certainly the best cricket I've ever seen, this series. Two great teams fighting it out all the way. I'm delighted that England have defied the sceptics (me included). Whatever happens at the Oval, England will have proved that they are every bit a match for the Aussies, and Flintoff will be crowned a national hero.

Will this mark a change in world cricket ? Is it the beginning of the end of Australian domination ? Could England get to number one ? Or are England the best already ? What do you all reckon ??
