web development = way over my head... sorry man!

but i reckon you will need to convert to a low bitrate mp3 to keep the file size down.

Well, that's why I wanted mp3 over wav. The wav file is something like 25k and the equivalent mp3 is 2k. So, mp3 seems to be the way to go. Not to mention everyone can do mp3 through their browser, I'm not sure how universal other formats might be.

No, the embedding I can do with HTML tags - I just figured that part out before I got the audio and video editing down. Although, if you have any good tricks I'd be glad to hear them.

Yeah, I was reading that on their site too. They also said if you wanted a stable version not to download the new one, so I didn't bother.
