Neutrogena T-Gel is a Coal Tar based shampoo that'll do the trick - Denorex sounds the same by your description of the colour.
Dandruff sufferers could also try a product containing Ketanozole - I used this once to treat an itchy scalp, but in general T-Gel is the only shampoo I can use without side effect.
Didn't know they made a shampoo.

Originally posted by SeitseI've got very sensitive skin, and often suffer from all sorts of skin problems (peeling, oily skin, Vesuvius sized zits, etc.). Whenever I get one of my various skin diseases though (such as pityriasis rosea), I find that Selsun Blue always clears it up better than any cream or medication.
My scalp is dry, very dry, and not only is snowing in Helsinki but also
my head is snowing.
If you cannot recommend me a good shampoo for the dandruff (sic),
then please advice on how to become fashionable to have snowed shoulders.

my friend robyn said the butternut squash and sweetcorn soup i made for lunch today would make a good shampoo. she's 7 years old or thereabouts, and the comment didn't make much sense, but it's all i can add to this thread.

Originally posted by Officer DibbleSounds like a great idea. 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 products are very popular. So why not sell a shampoo which can also be used for dinner?

Instant cure for dandruff....massage a liberal amount of Listerine mouthwash onto scalp, let sit for 5 minutes before shampooing. It used to say so on the bottle, 40 years ago, maybe it still does in the fine print. It worked for me when I was young.
Yeah, it's a true story. At least three women lost their hair from these prank calls. 😠
It may not be dandruff. I notice during cold weather, half an hour after I shampoo and dry my hair I'll get flakes. But I was told it isn't dandruff. Apparently some people just get drier scalps than others.
Dandruff is actually a bacteria or a fungus that grows on your head. That is different than the kind of dead skin dry scalp produces.
