Isadora Duncan is spinning in her grave....just like she spun around when her 20 foot long scarf got caught in the wheel of the car she drove off in and broke her neck.
Trivia question: What did she say as she sped off? IT'S A CLASSIC !

OH HELL. I just researched it, and found out i was in error. It's claimed that she said, " Goodbye my friends, I am off to glory" just before her scarf got caught in the wheel and broke her neck. It's now conceded that she was driving off with some dude and said " goodbye, I am off to love".
Only maybe love wasn't the word she used.

Sheesh.

Cmon! Offer us a bigger challenge!

"Adeiu, my friends. I go to glory."

OR, more properly,

"Adeiu, mes amis. Je vais la glorie."

edit: and yes Sam Sham, you're first assumption is correct.

Well, never let the truth get in the way of a good story, as the saying goes.
"Goodbye, my friends, i'm off to glory" sounds a lot better than " Hey, everyone, I'm gonna go get laid", or whatever she really said.
