Eh, they say something like 26 rings... oh, my uncle is from NY and is a big fan... just waiting for the 5 wins they might get in the next 12 years or something.

Perhaps the tide has changed, and the Sox will now win another couple in the next few years... They'll change then, since they are 'front runners'.

I think it'll be the Sox and, if the Mets get Zito, the Mets.

Sox-Mets, Sox in 5

No, no, I'm tired of my father being all smug about the Yankees, and how it's the fault of the Cubs fans that they don't do better. I'd like to see the Yankees trounced in the World Series by the Cubs. Of course, certain heated regions might freeze over...but it'd be worth it!

Don't rule the Twins out yet. And if they make it in with those two Latin lefties they'll be as dangerous as any team out there.

I'd prefer to see Cubs and Sox... and I really wouldn't care if the Cubs did win... but would prefer the Sox in 7... so cool.

Sox would beat the Yanks in 5 in the ALCS that year, and have a nice long run with Cubs.

You beat the Yanks once in 4 games, and beat the Sox once in 3 games. I can't believe your division has given up the wild card too.

Seven games is an insufficient sampling size from which to draw any sweeping conclusions. Besides, most of those games were very close and could have easily gone the other way. I seem to recall that we were poised to win a couple more, but that Jones was going through a bad spell at the time and coughed up a few.

You can also look at it this way...

Sox and Yanks both get beat bad by Rays at times... and rays go and get beat by the other teams. Very strange. Rays beat the tar out of the Yanks last evening I belive.

I would love to see the Tigers get to the playoffs and do well.

When the Dodgers were great, the Cubs could beat them and then turn around and lose to a nursing home...

Devil Rays 19, Yankees 6. Poor, poor Yankees. We get to play the D Rays after we finish up with the Twins. I hope they've gotten all that scoring out of their systems for a while. But then, unlike the Yankees, the Tigers actually have some good pitching. How much did the Yankees pay for Johnson's 5.07 ERA?

A Michigan hosted Superbowl and World Series all in the same year!!!
