Rooney was injured but still one of the best in the world.
No, you're right, though. He did a cracking job on my driveway.

Hey, that's my joke from another thread😠
Should I have opted for 'patio' again? Well, it's much of a muchness. The idea was to imply that he's a murderous tinker, which seemed pretty self-evident today.

Or when they actually get a football team.

It seems the ref wasn't going to send Rooney off until the portu-geezers threatened him.

Also, it was not a stamping, it was obvious to see it was accidental.
You are having a laugh!!!

First it's the 'cheating Argie ref', and then the 'cheating Portuguese'. Johnny Foreigner isn't as sporting as your chaps, what ho, eh?

I mean really, a sharp kick to the old 'Michael Ballack' might be good for some of those lazy continentals, what?

And they have the cheek to protest. No wonder they lost their empire, eh? Oh.. wait.

Ah don't be so bitter. You got what you deserved. Actually, you didn't deserve to see the second round this time. You were found out. Portugal will be the least fancied team left in the semis, and they managed to knock you out. Like I said before, you've been lucky. So stop complaining.

p.s. We spoke about stuff before, and you cried Anglophobia, which is a ...[text shortened]... n you say you deserved to be in the semis with a straight face? And I'm biased, am I? Bah...
I'm not bitter actually. If you see my post in the other thread there's not a moment of complaint, only congrats to Portugal and recognition of a great display by their goalkeeper at the end. My very first post regarding the world cup was "England don't stand a chance". I never thought they would win but would have done well to reach the quarter finals.

However, with you matey I feel slightly different because you are so full of glee, which I would expect, and yet pretend it's because you think they didn't deserve to be in the quarters rather than bigotry. The other Celts on here are honest about that but you delude yourself about it. However, perhaps you'll be just as gleeful should Portugal get knocked out against Brazil/France though I doubt it.

thank you.

well done to the portugal, and please accept our humble expressions of international solidarity from scotland.

scotland being one of the few countries in the world who have to listen to another countries football coverage.
Well that's odd, I just watched the match and listened to it in Norwegian.

it might pleasure at seeing ingerlund fail, but its not bigotry. a lot of people have made racist references on the threads i start about jocks, sweaties etc.

as someone sais in a previous thread its rivalry.

the germans and dutch dont support each other or brazil/argentina.

relax.

deal with reality

Well, Portugal, France and Brasil have a fair idea about how to play football, so your analogy doesn't really work, matey.

It's not your fault you have no imagination or flair, but try not to begrudge it others.

I would like to see how the Sun covers Beckham crying after his injury after publishing this:

So what are people who aren't bitter supposed to say?
