I don't know, in Dreamy Dream land England have a talented side, fun-loving fans and a habit of accepting defeat honourably.

The old Sasanach might want to linger there a while longer.

Over there, Peter Crouch is as graceful as a ballet dancer. Beckham is some use in open play. And Rooney isn't a savage itinerant scumbag on whose fat shoulders a nation's hope rides.

it might pleasure at seeing ingerlund fail, but its not bigotry. a lot of people have made racist references on the threads i start about jocks, sweaties etc.

as someone sais in a previous thread its rivalry.

the germans and dutch dont support each other or brazil/argentina.

relax.

deal with reality
Perhaps it isn't bigotry but it winds up sjeg nearly as much as he is winding up some of the England fans here 🙂

So what are people who aren't bitter supposed to say?
That's usually the second thing they say, when you tell them what the first usually is...

I don't disagree with this sentiment at all but I still would have been happy to see them through to get squashed by Brazil again.

When this tournament began, I was almost certain that England had become the Bolton Wanderers of World Football. However, proceedings have irreversibly changed my mind: we're nowhere near that good.

On a broader point, the tournament itself has been as dull as ditchwater. I'm glad my emphasis has always been on club football rather than internationals, because this entire fortnight has been a non-event.

Seems to me there is alot of jealousy going on here from people of poor footballing nations that weren't good enough to make the finals. A shame really. 😉
How long did Tony Cascarino play for Ireland again? I was just wondering.

Remind me now, who was it who kicked your arses in Stuttgart in '88? (Or 1967, for my Scottish friends?) It was one of those tiny footballing nations, population 3.5 million, football 4th most popular field sport.. can't quite remember. Anyway, England, pop. 60 million, football no.1 sport. Surely you might get the basics down? Maybe Germany's not your kind of country, anyway. You mightn't feel at home there, so you don't play well.

Funny that. Isn't old Brenda a Kraut?

Yes, we should really show some gratitude to Italy for him. You are right.

I'm not sure, but judging from his memoirs I bet he had his fingers crossed behind his back when he did it.
