But we should have won in Italia 1990, we were the best team there.. this one we were poor but what to expect with a pansy manager like Erikson? We'll be back come the Euro Championships in with a good chance of winning. Sadly, I think your lot won't.
And Scolari turned it down because he didn't think he could take the pressure.
I know who I think the pansy is anyway.

Like I've said, I'd take any disses of my nation's football team a little more seriously if it was coming from someone from a country of at least some sporting ability 😉
bringing back the home nations, with eire in there as well, would prove how much we have come on since we got rid of the german hired hand.

Where did you finish in that over the last three seasons, anyway? My memory fails me...
And then there's the tennis. I'm placing a small wager on young Henman for Wimbeldon this year. i hope I'm not too late to get good odds. By George, he's a champion if ever I saw one.

For £5 million a year, we expect an England manager that is at least slightly animated on the touchline and one who gives the players a bit of grief at half time following a poor performance. I don't rate Erikson at all and don't know why the English FA swa fit to pay him so much considering his rather average C.V.

Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugI understand what you're saying but him not waving his arms about and ranting is such a minor issue. There are so many different ways to manage and motivate a team and they all have their merits. You may criticise his record but I don't think his style or personality should come into it.
