I approved your balancing them up with a thumbs up. I tried thumbs downing one or two of my own messages, to make it look important enough to read, but I guess it only works if I do it to someone else. Oh well... can't have everything. 😛

I was actually thinking about that the other day, I find it odd that 1 or 2 thumbs up will ensure that a vaguely amusing or interesting post gets a wider than normal audience but no number of thumbs down for an interesting but possibly controversial comment will move it to the rec thread.
