Russ was ready to scrap the rec system altogether, for reasons that had nothing to do with TSM.
He decided to leave it in place based on some suggestions by Hoppy and RHB.
The alternative would have been no rec system at all.
TSM never had a policy to rec posts in order to destroy the wrecked system. We talked about it, but ...[text shortened]... stem has changed for the better. Let's enjoy it for what it is and stop crying over lost recs.

- they have similar philosophical outlooks and views
- they enjoy each other's company
IE the same reasons they might be in the same clan in the first place?!
Which of these isn't a valid reason? Are you saying I should hang out with people I don't like and whose conversation drives me up the wall? [In which case I'm beginning to think I've come to the right place.]

Yip. There's been nothing worth reccing, and to be honest, i probably only rec about 3 posts a week normally.
Has anyone read the rec page ? It's full of rec whoring, and arguing about recs. . . an exercise in futility if you ask me 😛

The people who aren't happy are the ones whose self-esteem was tied up in how many reccs they had. They'll get over it.
