@eladar saidMass murder is the act of murdering a number of people, typically simultaneously or over a relatively short period of time and in close geographic proximity. The FBI defines mass murder as murdering four or more people during an event with no "cooling-off period" between the murders.
No, I am just wondering why nobody cares when a killing is committed on one person but if it is 4 or 5 or 20 it is a big deal.

@very-rusty saidIs that cut and paste?

@great-big-stees saidNobody as in the masses. People like you and me do not care at all. We do not even know about them.
What would make you think "nobody" cares? That is a broad brush stroke you are using.
If all murders were put on the news the sheer repetition would have the same effect, nobody would care.
@eladar saidTo say no one would care is a pretty broad statement to make, I am sure many people would care!

@great-big-stees saidI don't believe there is a way to stop them unfortunately.
I think most people really do care, they just can't see a way to stop them.

In the US over 40 people are murdered every day. Most of those murders occur in large cities. Large cities in the US generally have gun control laws.
These mass killings are simply sensationalized by the media who tell you what to believe and you do as you are instructed.

@handyandy saidYou are a liberal and trust the government and its media to do everything for you, including thinking.
Why can't we be as open-minded and unprejudiced as you?

@eladar saidYou are looking at a 327.2 million population (2018), which may have grown since then I am sure. So 40 people everyday I don't think would be anything to panic about.

Don't get me wrong I am not condoning it but when you have that many people these things are bound to happen.

@very-rusty saidOn average how many are killed due to mass shootings each year?

@eladar saidYou live there I don't, at least you fly the American flag. You should know that information. No killing is acceptable, Just saying that with that many people it is going to happen. It is not just the mass shootings it is the copy cat shootings afterwards. What do you suggest be done about it? Figure that one out and you'd become a popular man!
