Taking the fire safety notice (tab) off a piece of furniture (bedroom or other) is a criminal offence.

Or perhaps he is trolling me as he has been for the last month or so. Every slight innaccuracy on my behalf has been pointed out by him. Srange thing is though, whilst he has pointed out every innaccuracy on my behalf, he has never corrected any of them. Perhaps, he does not know better, and maybe he just does not understand me.

It clearly says "DO NOT REMOVE TAB UNDER PENALTY OF LAW", has for many years, but I doubt there's ever been anyone that got in trouble for it. It's for retailers, so the buyer can see the contents of what he's getting, certainly doesn't apply to the end user, who can do whatever he wants with the tab after purchase.
