Oh, and another way I cope with the situation is as soon as they numb your gums for the shots, I just close my eyes. No need to see the tooling they are using.

Thanks very much everyone for advices and information. I'll go to see a dentist (preferbly who uses hypnosis or laughing gas) after a glass of nice drink.

I read somewhere that in Japan they don't use a drill on cavities. They have a mouth rinse that you use for about 1 minute and spit out. It removes the bacteria in the cavity and makes it sparkling clean so they can fill it w/o drilling.

The American Medical Association lobbied against using it in the US though, so it's not available here. I think they did that so they can charge more for the procedure.
