part of the dentist now is that the attendant puts oprah on the telly when

I think you are very lucky in LA. I looked it up in the UK web-sites, found one in Southhampton which is about 200miles away. I don't think NHS does it, can't really afford private ones anyway, lol.

But I'll bear in mind about the treatment for future, I hope it will take over all the horrible drills in near future!!

Dude, in truth it sounds like an abcess, unless you have a visible hole. I'm guessing you need to go to the dentist and get it checked out.

Failing that, i know a Nigerian witch doctor who could sacrafice a small animal, and smear your body with blood in a voodoo ritual.....Is that any good to you ?
I think i'll try making an appointment tommorrow:'(

maybe dentists are not as scarely as witches..

I don't think you can avoid going to the dentist. But you can try talking to friends or colleagues and ask them if they know a good dentist who is sensitive to the patients' needs and explains what xe is doing; or try to find a dentist who specialises in working with patients with dentist anxiety.
very sensible advice, thank you.

P.S. There are a few sadistic people in this forum, I realised.

Ask the dentist for a valium injection - you'll actually enjoy the visit then.

trouble with that theory is that 96% of doors open IN to the room 😞
london dentists think they deserve to get rich just for poking about with peoples teeth. went to one with an swollen abcess one weekend, the emergency israeli dentist was there with with 2 female assistants and nothing to do, i was the only patient.
he wanted £350 just to drill a hole in my tooth, so i walked out.

I need something stronger than that to ENJOY the visit, I think.

I've got a couple of teeth that aches especially badly when eating/drinking hot or cold. The tooth have become extremely sensitive since yesterday. I want to protect my tooth, but I don't like going to see a dentist because I'm scared of the way they hundle tooth. I don't like the noises either...

I'd like to hear your advices please.. Anything based on your experiences would be very much appreciated.. thank you
1. "Tooth" is singular, "teeth" is plural. You should get this as straight or straighter than your teeth.

2. Don't ask for medical advice on a chess website. If you follow it, you are bound to be killed or maimed somehow.

3. Re-read the other pieces of advice listed above, then see a dentist. Get him/her to read the other pieces of advice to you too, just to make sure they stick.

Good luck fixing your smile! πŸ˜€
