I pedal my bicycle everywhere. And don't go flying all over the world on weekend breaks. I have also installed energy saving light bulbs in the house. Finally I put on a jumper when I am cold. If I get even colder then I put on a coat. If I'm cold after that I will put on the heating.
I use only florescent bulbs, I have replaced all my appliances with energy star rated equipment (including 2 furnaces), I bought a subaru, and got rid of my gas guzzling pickup, I recycle, I put set back thermostats in the house, and I try to eat at least 2 vegan meals a week to reduce my use of meat products.
(and you guys thought I was a complete a$$)

By the way, I do support rational conservation measures, but I don't think we are responsible for 'destroying' the Earth nor do I think we can 'save' it if it is being 'destroyed' except by such draconian measures that few of us are willing to accept.

We also can't rule out that dudley doesn't have a personal wind turbine or photovoltaic array.
