My first decision was to stop buying the kids Christmas presents. Second, to get Russ to change the logo for the vacation sign to a walking shoe/boot/flip-flop. Third, find a way to stop cattle fart*ng. Fourth . . . May be just buy a good book and draw the curtains. Inch'Alla.

Seriously(ish), will you eat all the food you've bought and use everything you've been given this Christmas?

you should cancel your rhp subscription, because the time you spend on your computer here has a positive carbon footprint and/or a positive nuclear waste footprint- i.e. your computer uses electricity, and it was probably mostly generated by burning fossil fuels and/or nuclear fission - and playing chess online is a frivolous activity you can easily live without.

I would like to stop anybody from playing the c3 sicillian and the petroff defence - either of these chess polluters would be best off gone.

here you can buy power produced especially by wind turbines or hydropower, and the cost difference to 'conventionally' produced power is negligible. I don't know why the hype is that it costs too much, because it clearly doesn't. in my case, 1.68 euros more a month. that's absolutely nothing.

yeah you can do that here too, but i assumed our friend hasn't paid the extra because he didn't mention it in his post about what he's doing to save the planet (even though a lot of the post was obviously joking).

Its nothing extra to get green electricity here. In fact, it is cheaper than the main supplier.

We also can't rule out that dudley doesn't have a personal wind turbine or photovoltaic array.

I recycle, I replaced every light in my home with the low wattage uber energy efficient type bulbs, I carpool whenever I am able, and I keep my home between 63-67 degrees (F) in the winter to utilize less resources (natural gas) while in the summer, I use the natural breeze to cool my home with open screened windows and doors. 😀

I pedal my bicycle everywhere. And don't go flying all over the world on weekend breaks. I have also installed energy saving light bulbs in the house. Finally I put on a jumper when I am cold. If I get even colder then I put on a coat. If I'm cold after that I will put on the heating.
