'Three Dog Night' not good news for you, Badge. Sounds like the '3 dogs' at 'night' might be doing a bit of badger baiting!

On topic in two areas: I am listening to our three dogs (late afternoon) whining for their dinner.

Without a Net...Grateful Dead

Brahms' Cello Sonata #1 in E (Mstistlav Rostropovich, cello and Rudolf Serkin, piano)

Without a Net is somewhat (albeit gently) maligned in certain quarters, but I loved this [which documents late 89 - early 90] when it came out in 1990 and then went to see them (without Brent Mydland, who had died, and with Bruce Hornsby) later in the year in London.

Really, the latter part of 1989 through to the Spring of 1990 was a great period, perhaps their last extended period of relative greatness. Now, of course, all 15 shows from March 1990 have been released in full, along with half a dozen shows from Autumn-Winter 1989, the Without a Net 'compilation' is a bit overshadowed I suppose.

But I still have a soft spot for it. It forms part of my soundtrack for the first year I spent living away from the UK. I shall put it on now and reminisce.
