In Bruges (2008)
"In Bruges is a 2008 black comedy crime film written and directed by Martin McDonagh in his feature-length debut. The film stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson as two Irish hitmen in hiding, with Ralph Fiennes as their enraged boss. The film is set and was filmed in Bruges, Belgium." wiki
Good film.
@torunn saidAnd a bigger problem than most people realize. It is a global issue not a Canadian one, that was just an example. For some reason women love dangerous men.
@FMF
On Swedish TV today: 'Met while incarcerated' - a Canadian documentary about women forsaking a normal for their love to dangerous men in prison - social status, friends and sometimes their own families. A phenomenon that maybe few understand.

@Ponderable
Well there were still some original ideas in the last installation, but especially the last one was a bit weak in our opinion.
Last night I watched on TV 'Hacksaw Ridge' (2016). "The film focuses on the World War II experiences of Desmond Doss, an American pacifist combat medic who, as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, refused to carry or use a weapon or firearm of any kind... The film switches to real photos and footage showing that Doss was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Harry S. Truman for rescuing 75 soldiers at Hacksaw Ridge." (W)
@mwmiller saidI remember the series and the books - The Winds of War, and War and Remembrance. Great books, great TV series.
Once again re-watching "The Winds of War". TV mini-series based on the book by Herman Wouk. Several hours long and seven episodes, if I remember right.
I only noticed your post now.
