Suffice it to say that I acknowledge and to some degree respect people for their personal beliefs.
Heck, if you want to believe the earth is flat, who am I to lecture you ?
Or if dinosaurs walked the earth 6000 years ago. Etc,etc,etc....

I myself do not need religion.
And religion has nothing to do with whether or not I believe in a higher power.
If God is everything you say he/she/it is, then God knows where and how to find me.
We don't need the Catholic Church for that.
I consider religion to be nothing more than the politicization of faith.
And a morality tool that has been attached to humanity forever.

Religious thought remains today a couple of centuries behind scientific thought.
As well as philosophical and social advancements.

And therefore, religion should not be setting policy for humanity.
That's why we have secular countries .

We don't place people under house arrest for aiming a telescope at Jupiter anymore.
