At my ripe old age I am not even looking for one, I've already been asked. There are a ton of tests you have to do and pass to qualify, my irregular heart beat would probably dis-qualify me anyways. You can have the perfect match and still your body could reject the kidney.

I was on the line since September 12/24 and had two skin infections if it had went in ...[text shortened]... keep a Positive attitude and keep the mind busy which I do by playing chess even if poorly!!

Sir, whether you go now or later, I'm glad we have interacted on this forum.

I appreciate that you have expressed some ethical considerations and haven't flown "over there" to get a replacement from some poor youngster just trying to survive.

As for me, one concern has been that if I ever traveled to SE Asia I might get abducted for the sale of one of my vintage kidneys, and that they'd take out my right-side kidney (according to some bloody ice-filled bathtub "recovery" scenes in a couple of movies) -- which I think is the better one of mine.

Maybe it's a common occurrence that the left-side kidney is more likely to form stones for some reason which perhaps scientists should explore?

@Kevin,
At my age I wouldn't even consider a transplant. That is for younger people in my opinion. I have lived a good long life made a lot acquaintances & friends along the way in the real world, and people I don't even know very well on here. Then again who do we really know at the end of the day, perhaps family and then that can be strained in some situations. Thank you for the kind words, we don't always see eye to eye on things but always think that everyone should be heard.

I count each day as a blessing, and thankful for the Dialysis Nurses who help to prolong my life every treatment.

This is unnecessarily rude.

@Ghost,

I believe both were rude to be honest about it.

No need to shout, I've done it from time to time myself. "Everyone knows upper case letters is shouting.

Also no need to call names although I don't think it will bother a seasoned veteran of the Forums like her.

I don't know about a Ghost Superstar, but he is very good at the game. I learned a lot in his club when he had it. moonbus could be considered an Expert in my opinion. Good at analyzing games as is Trevor.

I been RETIRED now which is in Bold upper case letters under my name in my Profile for some time now. I was semi retired for 5 years then fully retired for 15 years. ...[text shortened]... thing could happen to you. Don't forget to do unto the other guy before he does unto you. 😉

I’m so sorry to hear that you are having to go through Dialysis, that’s terrible. I hadI noticed you haven’t been in the forums much and had hoped all was well. I know Ghost is good, he had said he could beat me the next 30 games in a row, he’s not that good😁. I don’t think moonbus is an expert, to me 2100 to 2500 would be expert. If you look at our clan member MLSCHESS, he’s an expert. As far as Trevor I don’t know what he can do, he plays so slow. You’re in my prayers, and I hope things get easier for you.

Sorry about this, because it seems we have been on friendly terms, but that might come across to some as victim-blaming.

I never gave "Paul Martin" my street address or date of birth. He must have looked those up on his own for the sake of further harassing me.

Something for others to consider, I would imagine.
So you're a Scorpio, too?

I should have realized, it explains a lot.
