The point is that you said (inadvertently, of course) that you don't know why you think you are so brilliant. Besides, even if you were indeed so brilliant, it wouldn't be redundant.

- My point though is that you can still be brilliant (as in it being a fact) but not know why.

- To quote you earlier:
"Why am I so brilliant" states your brilliancy as a fact and asks for the reason of it
So if my brilliance was a fact, wouldn't my title be suitable? 🙂

(deep sigh) Not if you wanted to find out why you think you are so brilliant, which is what you (inadvertently) said to be the reason why you created the thread. No matter whether your brilliancy is a fact or not, those questions are different.
