Okay, so trinidad just got beat by a very young and understrength Welsh team. So, how many goals will they ship in the group stages. I think it could well be 10.
I still don't get why everyone fancies Holland to do well, i still think that SM are better than them, and yes it is SM, and they don't split until after this WC.
Originally posted by welsharnieI think T&T will do well but they won't have enough. I still say England and Sweden to get through. Now I say France has the Easiest group. I mean Togo and Switzyland. WTF!?

(some s**t about holland/ SM)
Originally posted by CrUiZeRIt is not a difficult group, but Switzerland are not a bad team (better than S. Korea, who had a good run at the last WC, albeit at home) who beat Turkey (a WC semi-finalist last time around). France didn't exactly cruise though their group (they had 3 teams within 3 points of them) and drew with Switzerland both times. Yes, France will get through, but they ain't just gonna walk all 3 games.

Originally posted by welsharnieI foresee a lot of upsets in this World Cup. For example, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Brazil, Argentina and France all booted out in the first rounds.

edit; well, at least we can hope. 😵
My world cup prediction:
Rooney is ruled out on the 7th following last scan, and the tabloids break another Sven Sex Scandal on the same day.
On the 8th, Sven drops all current midfielders and strikers out of spite, and goes for a 4-2-4 formation, playing Shearer, Sheringham, Andrew Cole, and Fowler upfront, with Carrick and Sol Campbell as defensive midfielders ahead of Neville, Terry, Ferdinand, and Ashley Cole. Calamity James is back as first choice goalkeeper.
England will be relying on a long ball tactic that will surprise many opponents.
From then on I cannot predict what will happen.

I have a feeling that Australia's performance will only be surprising to you.
Originally posted by boarmanYou're already attacking the refs, even before the whole thing started. If Australia manage to pass their group they can be quite happy about their performance. That would still be a minor upset, not really a dark horse.

Originally posted by Palynkaso many times refs have held the balance in the past so why will it be any different this year ,as for australia im not saying that they will win i was just saying they will proceed a lot further than most people think , maybe as far as the last eight , but yes if they do get past their group stage it will be a win for them as so many people reckon that they will not win a game

Originally posted by boarmanI reckon they won't win a game, but they might have a shot against Japan since they are very irregular. As for Croatia, they did top their group alongside Sweden. I actually saw them against Bulgaria in one of their games and wasn't impressed at all, but their position in their group speaks for itself.
